Equipment Line Clamps
Equipment line clamps are used to connect busbars to electrical equipment terminals, such as transformers, circuit breakers, current transformers, isolators, and wall bushings.
Applications
Common electrical equipment terminals are available in two materials: copper and aluminum. The lead lines are typically made of aluminum stranded wire or steel core aluminum stranded wire. Therefore, equipment line clamps can be categorized into two series:
1.Copper Equipment Line Clamps
2.Copper-Aluminum Transition Equipment Line Clamps
Example Designation
JT/JTL-300A/200
oJT: Copper clamp
oJTL: Copper-aluminum clamp
o300: Conductor cross-section (300 mm²)
o200: Distance between conductors (200 mm)
Types Based on Installation Method
Bolt-Type Equipment Line Clamps:
oUtilizes bolts for secure fastening of the conductor.
Compression-Type Equipment Line Clamps:
oUses compression techniques to secure the conductor, providing a strong and reliable connection.
These clamps are essential for ensuring safe and effective electrical connections in various applications within power systems.
